+# Joining the project
+So, you likely want to join the StarOpenSource Project and
+become a fully fledged member? Cool! On this page you can
+find out how to become a new member and work with us to
+create open source software.
+
+## Step 1: Conditions
+Now, there are some conditions which need to be met in order
+to join the project.
+
+You need to
+- have an email account you regularily check,
+- have an account on [sos!git](https://git.staropensource.de),
+- know what the StarOpenSource Project actually does,
+- be familiar with how the StarOpenSource Project coordinates,
+  is governed and works, and
+- have contributed a few times to at least one our projects
+  (these need to be a bit more than editing the documentation)
+
+## Step 2: Sending us an email
+You meet the conditions stated above? Good. You can now proceed
+by sending an application email to `support (at) staropensource (dot) de`.
+
+It doesn't need to be special. Just say that you have contributed
+to a handful of our projects and want to join us. And don't worry:
+We will guarantee that you will get an answer from us.
+
+## Step 3: Profit
+Hopefully you will get accepted! And if not, that's not a big
+problem. We will outline why we've decided to reject your
+registration and when you can apply again. Being rejected one
+time doesn't mean it's forever
